Worse Than Hoi Ting Scented Candle
MK culture ran through Hong Kong student life and has now almost entirely gone — nobody photographs a group in Gucci map bags and Adidas any more.
This is a small memorial to it, turned into a smell. Illustrator @maidream0304 drew the tin for us, putting that world back on the shelf in their own style.
The scent leans on tobacco. Commercial cigarettes usually soften themselves with menthol, so we did the same — mint and eucalyptus, enough that it reads comfortable rather than stale. There is no actual tobacco in it, so it is not a real cigarette.
And to be clear: smoking is bad for you. If you want to be worse than Hoi Ting you do not need two cigarettes — two of these will do it.
